The KANZA Chapter of OCTA (Oregon-California Trails Assn.) and the Alcove Spring Preservation Society will host a Symposium centering around the Plains Indians. The dates are Sept 25 through the 28.
On Thursday evening a Reception will be held for those who are registered, at the National Guard Armory in Marysville.
Friday at the Armory, will be a day of speakers and presentations of different tribes, mountain men and wagon building. There will also be a short history of the tribes and trails in Marshall County.
Saturday's events will be held at Alcove Spring and will feature a Pawnee War Dance.
Sunday's activities will start with a rail ride from Blue Rapids to Waterville. Lunch will be served at the Historic Weaver Hotel.
