(KNZA)--Two officers involved in a shoot-out last month in Leavenworth County have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
KQ2-TV reports the Kansas Bureau of Investigation says officers Steven Brandeau and Ruth Hensley did not violate any laws.
The two exchanged shots with Marcus McGowan of Atchison after he led them on a police chase.
Five year old Cady Harris, also of Atchison, was killed in the shootout.
McGowan is being held on several charges including first-degree murder and endangering a child.
