(KNZA)--A traffic stop in the Jackson County community of Hoyt leads to the arrest of two on drug related charges.

According to a press release from Sheriff Tim Morse, 37-year-old Holton resident Rachel Dawn Hudson and 29-year-old Dylan Wayne Massey, of Alta Vista, were arrested around 10:15 Friday morning following the traffic stop.

Hudson was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of weapons and for probation violations.  Massey was booked for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony obstruction and operating a vehicle with no ignition interlock device.

Hudson was arrested in Urbandale Iowa in January 2013 on a Jackson County District Court warrant for obstructing the apprehension of Lloyd Wabaunsee and Desiree Shopteese.

Wabaunsee and Shopteese were both found in the trunk of Hudson’s Chevy Impala in the parking lot of a Hy-Vee store in Urbandale by U.S. Marshals.  The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Marshals worked together on a “sting” type operation which led to their capture.  Wabaunsee later pled no contest to a charge of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Kevin Stanley, of Mayetta.

Morse says the same Impala owned by Hudson that was used in the escape of Wabaunsee and Shopteese from Kansas to Iowa was impounded by Jackson County Deputies on Friday.
