(KLZA)-- The Falls City, City Council will meet Monday night at 7 p-m.
Falls City Volunteer Fire Department, Fire Chiefs are requesting two additional part-time drivers be hired to bring the total to eight. In addition the Fire Chiefs are requesting a stipend be paid to the part-time drivers of $3 per hour from 5 p-m til 8 a-m during the week and $4 per hour during the weekends. If approved it would amount to $432 weekly and more than $22,460 annually.
The Council will be asked to take action on an amended claim filed by Houghten, Whitten and Weaver PC, LLO and Weaver & Merz in the amount of $1,231,225.60 pertaining to a lawsuit filed on behalf of the city in 2006.
There is also a request from Harmon’s OK Tire to allow warehousing and 19th and Stone Street and a request for no parking on one side of the streets in the area of the Sacred Heart School is part of the agenda again.
