(KNZA)--Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote in the August primary election in Kansas.
During the August 5th primary election, voters will choose each party’s candidates for the November 4th general election.
New voters need to register to vote in the primary by the close of business Tuesday at their county clerk’s office. Also those who have moved or changed their name since the last election need to re-register.
When new votes register, they need to provide proof of citizenship, which can be a birth certificate, passport or naturalization document.
