(KAIR)--The Atchison Police Department is investigating a theft that took place at a residence last week.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, 22-year-old Ashley Mullins of Atchison reported Friday that approximately $1,500 in cash was removed from a cabinet in her residence located in the 1200 block of Summit Avenue sometime during the day on Tuesday.
Mullins says she noticed the money was gone after several acquaintances, who had been visiting the home earlier in the day, had left.
Wilson says police are focusing their investigation on those individuals who were at the scene during that time.
