MARYVILLE, Mo. (AP) - The president of Northwest Missouri State University has been granted a four-year contract extension.
The St. Joseph News-Press reports the university's Board of Regents approved the contract extension for John Jasinski on Thursday.
Jasinski has led Northwest Missouri State since 2009. His current contract expires June 30, 2015, but the board evaluates the contract annually. The new contract takes effect Tuesday and includes a salary of $255,000 a year.
Board Chair Mark Hargens says the extension is the result of Jasinski's "exemplary service" to the Maryville school and to the state.
