John Gordon
(KNZA)--The fire chief of the Jefferson County community of Valley Falls is facing charges.
59-year-old John Gordon was arrested Friday afternoon by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department on one count each of misuse of public funds ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 and theft of property or services.
The Topeka Capital Journal reports the arrest followed an investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. No additional details were immediately available.
Gordon was released on his own recognizance shortly after his arrest.
