(KAIR)--The Atchison Police Department, along with the Atchison County Sheriff's Department, gathered at the scene of the Atchison County Courthouse after a threatening note was found on a bench in front of the building early Friday morning.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says the call came in shortly before 8:00. Officials were quick to conduct an investigation of the entire courthouse complex but no further threat was found.
Wilson says they are in the beginning stages of the investigation, and more details will be released as the investigation continues.
