(KAIR)--Atchison County Coordinator Christopher Channell has resigned from his position, effective immediately.
The Commission voted 3-0 to accept the resignation during a special meeting Wednesday morning.
Channell previously assisted the County with budget preparation, coordination of employee benefits, accounts payable, and payroll. Commission Chair Jeff Schuele says the Commission will take some time to examine the position, and make sure they have clarification on what the job entails before moving forward to fill it.
Schuele says they hope to have a new County Coordinator in place within the next three months.
