(KAIR)--A two-vehicle collision on K-116 Highway in Atchison County over the weekend sent a St. Joseph woman to the hospital.
The Atchison County Sheriff's Department says it happened just after 3:30 Saturday afternoon when a westbound vehicle driven by 43-year-old Laura Maddox of St. Joseph was struck by a southbound vehicle on Edwards Road driven by 34-year-old Elizabeth Crouch of Valley Falls, who failed to yield at a stop sign.
A passenger in Maddox's vehicle, 53-year-old Rhonda Maddox, was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Crouch was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign.
