(KTNC)--Folks along the Missouri River should watch for high water over the next couple days. The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for the Missouri River from Plattsmouth south through Rulo.
Minor flooding is expected in southeast Nebraska and northwest Missouri.
The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by early this (Tuesday) afternoon, before receding below flood stage by early Wednesday morning. The primary impact of the flooding will be to low-lying ground along the river.
Officials say you should not drive through areas where water covers roads, as the water depth may be too great to allow a vehicle to pass safely.
The flood warnings are in effect until Wednesday evening.
