(KNZA)--A two-vehicle collision on U.S. 75 Highway in Brown County Saturday morning about 10 miles south of the Kansas-Nebraska border sent a Topeka man to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a southbound semi driven by Summerville, South Carolina resident 58-year-old Richard Coppejans was stopped on the highway waiting to turn left and turned in front of a northbound car driven by 57-year-old Daniel Ondracek, which struck the semi.
Ondracek, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the Sabetha Community Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Coppejans received possible injuries, but according to the Patrol report wasn’t transported for medical treatment.
The wreck was reported shortly before 10:30 at the intersection with 260th Road.
