(KMZA)--A Dawson, Nebraska man facing child sex charges in Nemaha County, Kansas will undergo a competency evaluation.
A Nemaha County District Court Judge has granted a motion filed by the attorney for Dominic Pagnano Jr. for the evaluation.
Pagnano is charged with rape and sexual exploitation of a child.
Authorities say the charges stem from alleged sex crimes involving a minor child occurring between 2009 and 2011. He was arrested last October following an investigation by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department.
The case has been placed on hold, pending the results of the competency evaluation. Pagnano had been scheduled for arraignment last week.
