(KNZA)--The Hiawatha and Horton City Commissions will hold a special joint work session Tuesday evening.
The meeting will take place at 5:15 at the Horton City Hall.
Hiawatha City Commissioner Steffen Shamburg proposed the joint work session to see if there are some things the two communities can do jointly to save money and be more efficient.
Shamburg says he believes there are ways the two Brown County communities, only 14 miles apart, can partner and save money.
He discussed the proposal with Horton Mayor Tim Lentz, who said he thought it was a good idea.
