(KNZA)--A Sunday afternoon raid at a Delia residence lands two fugitives in jail.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says the raid was conducted after his department received information that 30-year-old Shaun Justin Barber, of rural Delia and 25-year-old Kristie Diane Price, of Topeka, were at the residence. Both were wanted on Jackson County warrants, Barber on a motion to revoke warrant on an aggravated battery case and Price on misdemeanor Jackson County warrants.
Morse says the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
Price and Barber are believed to have been the occupants of a car, reported stolen in Shawnee County, that fled from Jackson County authorities Friday night.
That happened after an attempted traffic stop at U.4 and 134th Road.
Jefferson County Deputies and the Kansas Highway Patrol joined Jackson County in the search for the car, which was later found in a field near the Jefferson County line.
