(KAIR)--Police are investigating a burglary that took place at an Atchison residence Thursday.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, 27-year-old Anne Schafer reported that an unknown suspect removed various electronic equipment and jewelry from her home, located in the 1000 block of North Tenth Street sometime Thursday. Wilson says it appears as though the suspect forced their way into the residence by breaking a door at the back of the home.
The total estimated loss was about $3,600.
Police do not yet have any details on who may have taken part in the burglary, but the search for leads continues.
