(KNZA)--Only minor injuries are suffered following a double vehicle crash in Hiawatha Sunday.
Police Chief John Defore says it happened at 12 noon when a van, driven westbound on Oregon Street by Stella, Nebraska resident William Kerkow turned left on Hopi Drive.
That turn was made directly in front of a pick-up truck, being driven by Hiawatha resident Brian Butrick, as Butrick made a left hand turn from Kestrel Road onto Oregon Street to head eastbound.
Kerkow suffered minor injuries in the collision but did not require hospital treatment.
Butrick was not hurt.
Kerkow received a citation for his role in the wreck.
