(KAIR)--A single-vehicle wreck on US 59 Highway south of Rushville, Missouri late Wednesday night sent an Atchison man to the hospital.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that 39-year-old Shawn Williams was northbound on the highway when he traveled off the east side of the road, struck an embankment, and became airborne. The vehicle then struck another embankment which caused it to overturn multiple times before landing right side up on the east side of the road.
Williams, who was ejected from the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph for treatment of serious injuries.
The Patrol says he was not properly restrained.
