(KAIR)--A Missouri man led Atchison Police on a short vehicle chase Tuesday afternoon that ended with his arrest.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says it all started when an officer noticed there were no tags on Ford Explorer, eastbound on Kansas Avenue near 11th Street, shortly after 3:30. The driver, 29-year-old Jonathan Anderson of Iatan, did not stop when police attempted to pull him over. A chase ensued, and Anderson was stopped a short time later near the 900 block of Main Street.
It was discovered that a municipal court warrant for failure to appear in court had been issued for Anderson. He was taken into custody on that warrant, and faces several additional charges including attempting to elude, driving while suspended, and various other traffic related charges.
He remains in the Atchison County Jail.
