(KAIR)--One person is injured following a Friday night Atchison shooting.
It happened around 9:30, on the city's northside, where residents reported hearing gunfire.
Emergency crews rushed to the area of the city's LFM park, but did not find anyone present when they arrived.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says the Atchison Hospital contacted police shortly after the report of gunfire. Hospital staff told investigators a 37-year-old male had arrived by private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his shoulder.
The name of the victim is not yet being made public as the investigation continues. Wilson says that no arrests have been made as police continue to piece together the details of the incident.
