(KNZA)--An 18-year-old Holton man is in jail, following his Easter Sunday arrest after he was found hiding in the closet of a home he is accused of burglarizing.
Brandon Leon Thomas was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of aggravated burglary, burglary to a vehicle, 2 counts of criminal damage and theft.
He is also being held for an outstanding burglary warrant out of the State of Iowa. Bond is pending at this time.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says the burglary was discovered at 20932 Q. Road in rural Holton when the residents returned home around noon and found their door tampered with and noises coming from inside.
The Sheriff's department was notified, and responding deputies say that Thomas was found hiding inside a closet.
They allege he was in possession of stolen property, both from that residence and from one in Holton that had been burglarized Saturday.
