(KLZA) -- A mixed bag for counties in Southeast Nebraska and Northwest Missouri included in the national annual health review.
The rankings are based on health-related statistics conducted annually by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. The study takes into account a number of statistics based on matters of health. Smoking, unemployment, obesity, air and water quality, income and education are all included in the scores.
In Nebraska 79 of the states 93 counties were ranked. Johnson County scored the best ranking 40th, Otoe County was 43rd, Richardson County 57th, Nemaha County 66th, Pawnee County 71st and Gage County 72nd.
The top ranked Nebraska county was Polk County.
Northwest Missouri counties overall scored very well with Nodaway ranked 1st, Andrew County 2nd, Atchison County was 13th. Holt County ranked 67th among the 115 Missouri counties that were ranked.
