(KTNC) -- As construction kicks into high gear on Highway 136 through Auburn, Nemaha County Nebraska Commissioners have put restrictions on trucks traveling through the county. The commission this week unanimously approved a motion to place “No Truck” signs on four county roads.
The roads where the signs will be placed are described as: one mile from Highway 75 west on Industrial Park Road…south one mile on 638 Avenue from the intersection of 730 Road and 638 Avenue…south one mile from the intersection of 638 Avenue and Highway 136…and east on part of 728 Road from the intersection of 638 Avenue and 730 Road to the Auburn city limits.
The motion to put the signs in place was approved on Wednesday.
The signs will be in place until November 15, or the end of road construction.
Nemaha County Commissioners also approved an agreement with Richardson County to share the cost of replacing a bridge on the Richardson-Nemaha County line.
Commissioners approved an option calling for replacing temporary culvert with two 8-by-10-foot box culverts at a cost of $112,000. The motion calls for the project to not begin until it can be bid with another box culvert project for either Richardson or Nemaha County.
