Concern Voiced About Lack of Storm Notification
04/09/2014

(KMZA)--Nemaha County Emergency Preparedness Director Todd Swart is voicing his concerns that the National Weather Service didn’t issue any notification about a storm that caused significant damage in the southern part of the county last week.

Swart told the County Commission Monday that the National Weather Service is looking into the issue.

The storm damaged some buildings and campers in the area last Wednesday.

In other business, the commission approved the appropriation of 35-hundred dollars from the Broxterman Estate Funds for the purchase of handicapped accessible playground equipment for the Centralia schools.
