(KMZA)--A Seneca man has been sentenced to more than 10 ½ years in prison on charges in two Nemaha County child sex cases.
Nemaha County Attorney Brad Lippert says David Hobbs II was sentenced to 102 months in prison on a charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. He was given credit for 310 days already served in jail.
Hobbs pleaded no contest to the charge in February. In exchange for the plea a charge of rape was dismissed.
He was arrested in May of last year following an investigation by the Seneca Police Department.
At the time of his arrest, Hobbs was on probation on a charge of indecent solicitation of a child stemming from a Sabetha case dating back to July 2012. Lippert says his probation was revoked in that case, and Hobbs was ordered to serve 26 months in prison on the charge.
The sentences, which were handed down last week in Nemaha County District Court, are to be served consecutively.
