In Hiawatha, voters will decide the fate of a half-cent city-wide retailers’ sales tax proposal for the construction of new city-owned movie theater.  In addition, funding from the sales tax, projected to generate $330,000 annually, would be used for recreational and economic development purposes. Voters in Hiawatha will cast their ballots at the Fisher Community Center.
