Registration Deadline Extended for Auburn High School Alumni Event
(KLZA) -- The Auburn High School Alumni Association and the Auburn High School 125 Celebration Committee have extended the deadline to register for the 125th anniversary celebration! All alumni, former and current administration, teachers and board of education members are asked to register by April 10, 2014.
If you have lost your registration form, or if you did not receive one, you can access a copy at the Auburn Public Schools website (www.auburnpublicschools.org) under the “Alumni”, then “APS Alumni Website” tabs.
The celebration event will be held Memorial Day weekend with registrants’ check-in beginning the evening of Friday, May 23rd. The annual alumni banquet will be included in the weekend’s activities. During the banquet, recipients of annual scholarships will be recognized. There will also be an auction at the banquet. The district is replacing the high school gym floor, so sections of flooring with the script “Bulldogs” on them will be auctioned off. The proceeds will be applied to the costs of the gym renovations. Quilted artworks made by the Auburn High School art students this year in honor of the 125th anniversary will also be auctioned off. Those proceeds will benefit the art program at the school.”
Other celebration features will include a tailgate-style meal on Friday evening, special retro movie matinees on Saturday and Sunday, an Alumni Patriots Service on Memorial Day to include alumni band and choir participation, and many other community activities throughout the weekend.
