(KNZA)-- An Everest man has pleaded guilty to a felony weapons charge.
Leonard Cashman entered the plea this week in Brown County District Court to a charge of criminal discharge of a firearm. In exchange for the plea, two misdemeanor charges—obstructing official duty and disorderly conduct—were dismissed.
Cashman was convicted of firing a gun last May at an occupied dwelling in the 600 block of Chestnut in Everest. No one was hurt.
In a separate case, Cashman pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. In exchange for the plea, charges of driving on a suspended license and transporting an open container were dismissed.
The charges stemmed from a traffic stop in July of last year.
Sentencing in both cases in set for May 30th.
