In other business, Duke Koerperich with Hiawatha-based Town and County EMS met with commissioners to inform them he’s looking at replacing an ambulance that’s about 25 years old. Koerperich said he would like to purchase a 2009 ambulance with 50,000 miles from a fire department in Maine at a cost of $82,500.
He said he plans to put $10,000 down, and would like to finance the remainder through a lease-purchase arrangement with the county. The commission gave their approval to the purchase.
