(KTNC) -- Humboldt City officials are cautioning residents to be on the lookout for fake nuisance letters.
According to City Clerk Connie Laflin, at a resident received a letter – on city letterhead – telling them that they needed to clean up their property.
Laflin says the letter, which was unsigned, did not come from the city. She says they don’t know how the person who sent the letter obtained the city’s letterhead.
Laflin says any nuisance letters would be signed by the city’s Code Enforcer, Emily Bausch, and would be on SENDD letterhead.
Any Humboldt resident who receives a similar, unsigned letter, claiming to be from the city should contact the city office.
