(KLZA) -- Several area fire departments responded to a call at the Leonard Witt farm located on the Nebraska – Kansas State Line Wednesday when a report came in of hay bales on fire. Fortunately the fire was quickly extinguished and the call was cancelled.
Fire Departments from Morrill, Falls City and Hiawatha responded to the call.
About three large round bales caught on fire when a gas-powered sawzall was being used to cut up some fencing.
