(KNZA)--An Everest man facing a felony weapons charge has waived his preliminary hearing.
Leonard Cashman was bound over to Brown County District Court on Wednesday on a charge of criminal discharge of a firearm. He also faces misdemeanor charges of obstructing official duty and disorderly conduct in the case. Arraignment was set for Monday before District Judge Jim Patton.
Cashman is accused of firing a gun last May at an occupied dwelling in the 600 block of Chestnut in Everest. No one was hurt.
In a separate case, Cashman faces charges of possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, and transporting an open container stemming from a traffic stop last July. A bench trial in that case is also set for Monday.
Cashman remains free on bond.
