(KNZA)--The Hiawatha Community Hospital receives a $2,500 gift.
That comes through a donation from Brown County farmer Jerry Reschke who earned the funds through the America's Farmers Grow Communities campaign, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.
The monies will be used by the hospital to supplement their bed fund to replace older beds.
Hospital Administrator John Moore voices gratitude for Reschke's contribution, saying the hospital relies on such donations.
America's Farmers Grow Communities, through the support of local farmers across the nation, is providing more than $3.2 million to nonprofits in 1,289 counties in 39 states.
