(KLZA) -- The Auburn High School Alumni Association and the Auburn High School (AHS) 125 Celebration Committee are reminding all alumni, former and current administration, teachers and board of education members that the deadline to register for the anniversary event is near!
Everyone is encouraged to register for the event by March 31st.
At the end of January, general celebration information along with registration forms were mailed to alumni for whom the Association had mailing addresses. The registration form has been provided in electronic format through the Auburn Public Schools website (www.auburnpublicschools.org) under the “Alumni”, “APS Alumni Website” tabs.
The celebration event will be held Memorial Day weekend with registrants’ check-in beginning the evening of Friday, May 23rd. The annual alumni banquet will be included in the weekend’s activities.
During the banquet, one activity will be recognizing the recipients of our annual scholarships. Other celebration features will include a tailgate-style meal on Friday evening, special retro movie matinees on Saturday and Sunday, an Alumni Patriots Service on Memorial Day to include alumni band and choir participation, and many other community activities throughout the weekend.
AHS alumni are reminded that the ONLY website that exists for the Auburn High School Alumni Association is via the Auburn Public Schools website. “There is another website in existence that claims to provide a ‘lifetime membership’ for our alumni. However, that money does NOT go back to our association, nor does it go back to our community in any way that we are aware of. However, when alums choose provide an annual dues fee of $5.00 to our Association, they are supporting yearly scholarships to graduating AHS seniors.
