(KLZA) -- 21-year old Erica Beethe of Elk Creek recently received prison sentences in both Pawnee and Nemaha counties in Southeast Nebraska.
In Pawnee County Beethe was sentenced to not less than four years but not more than five years in prison on a felony charge of Burglary. In February of 2013 Beethe burglarized a Pawnee County home near Elk Creek stealing a variety of pain killers from the home.
On a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Beethe was sentenced to a period of 20 – 36 months in prison. The sentences are to run concurrently. The substances were Hydrocodone and Oxycodone.
In Nemaha County, Nebraska Beethe was sentenced to a period of one year in prison on a misdemeanor charge of Attempted Possession of the Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. This sentence is to be served concurrently to the Pawnee County prison sentences.
Beethe started serving her sentence in the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women on February 19th.
Beethe is currently scheduled for a jury trial in Richardson County District Court on a felony charge of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition. She was arrested in May of 2013, accused of the theft of a Jeep Wrangler from Armbruster Motor Company in Falls City.
