(KAIR)--A Lancaster man was taken into custody Monday night after an alleged altercation with Atchison County Sheriff's Deputies.
According to Sheriff Jack Laurie, deputies were called to the home of 36-year-old Curtis Myers at 106 High Street in Lancaster for a report of a disturbance. Laurie says when officials arrived, they were told by an individual at the residence that Myers was not at the scene, and was at a home across the street. When they confronted Myers, he became combative and started an altercation with the deputies.
Myers was arrested at the scene, and transported to the Atchison County Jail. He faces charges of pedestrian under the influence, battery on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property.
Myers was released on bond Tuesday afternoon.
