(KNZA)--Brown County Commission approval is being sought on a proposed project on a Washington township road.
Daryll Jamvold, president of Alfred Jamvold, Inc., met with the commission Monday to receive their approval to replace a concrete box on 150th Road, about ¾ of a mile west of Sunflower Road, with a 24-inch diameter tube and raise the elevation of the road.
Jamvold says the corporation plans to construct three water retention structures for crop irrigation on land they own on both sides of the road.
He says Washington Township has approved the proposed work, and county approval is needed to obtain a permit from the state for construction of the dams.
Commissioner’s said they wanted to view the project site before giving their approval. They were to travel to the site Monday following their meeting.
