(MSC News)---The Kansas Department of Transportation has approved a bid for an area highway resurfacing project.
Topeka-based Bettis Asphalt and Construction has been awarded the contract for the resurfacing of 33 ½ miles of K-9 and K-88 Highways at a cost of more than 4 million dollars.
Also KDOT has approved bids for two bridge replacement projects on U.S. 24 Highway in Pottawatomie County. One is for a bridge east of Broadway Street in Belvue over the Deep Creek Drainage and the other for the replacement of a bridge over College Creek east of K-63. The total bid, awarded to Wamego-based Ebert Construction Company, is for more than $1.4 million.
A start date hasn’t been announced for the projects.
The bid letting took place January 15th in Topeka.
