(KNZA)--Slick road conditions are blamed for a single-vehicle wreck on a Doniphan County road Friday evening that sent a Troy woman to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol 26-year-old Troy resident Bryce Ellner was eastbound on 240th Road, about one mile east of Highland, when he lost control of his sports utility vehicle on the snow packed road. The vehicle struck a guard rail and rolled down an embankment.
A passenger, 22-year-old Achcia Richardson, was transported to the Hiawatha Community Hospital for treatment of possible injuries. Ellner wasn’t hurt.
The Patrol says both occupants were wearing seat belts.
The accident was reported shortly after 7 Friday evening.
