(KNZA)--A Wathena home is destroyed by fire Monday afternoon, fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
KQ2-TV reports it happened around 4:00 at 1025 Scranton Road, where the Wathena Fire Department battled the blaze.
The residents were not home when the fire broke out, and no injuries are reported.
The cause remains under investigation.
The family, left homeless by the blaze, is being assisted by the Leavenworth branch of the American Red Cross.
