(KNZA)--Details are released regarding the arrest of three suspects Saturday in connection with last Thursday night's car burglaries in northeast and southeast Jackson County.
Sheriff Tim Morse identifies two of the suspects as Topeka residents 18-year-old Winston Tanner Roberts and 19-year-old Tanner James Stirton.
Both were booked into the Jackson County Jail on six counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, seven counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, three counts of felony theft and four misdemeanor counts of theft.
The third suspect is identified as a juvenile who was taken into custody on related charges.
Authorities alleged the three suspects are also connected with a vehicle burglary on the Shawnee County line on January 19th and two burglaries north of Whiting on November 26th.
The arrests followed a joint investigation Saturday by Atchison, Jefferson and Jackson County authorities, with recent car burglaries having occurred in all three of those areas.
Morse says some of the property taken in those crimes has been recovered and a white Chevy Blazer, believed to have been driven to the crime scenes, was impounded by deputies.
Morse commends the partnership between the investigators, which also included assistance from the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office, Horton Police and Topeka Police.
