(KNZA)--A mix up of pictures, regarding a wanted suspect, leaves Brown County Sheriff John Merchant apologizing.
It happened Friday morning involving the name “Jeremy Vice.” The problem, apparently, comes down to the fact that two area men share the same name, and the picture of the wrong one was made public by the Sheriff's Office.
Below is the letter of apology written by Merchant after the mistake was caught.
I sent a media release containing a photo of two people wanted in Brown County Kansas on felony charges. The female was Wendy Walle and the male was Jeremy Vice.
The picture of Jeremy Vice was of the wrong person. While in fact the names matched, the photo did not. The Jeremy Vice which was originally posted on the KNZA website was not that of the wanted person.
My sincerest apologies on my mistake.
