Tarkio Mo Woman Sentenced for Theft of Money from Bank
(AP/KLZA) -- 40-year-old Tiffany Stanley of Tarkio, Missouri has been sentenced in U-S District Court in Council Bluffs for stealing from an Iowa bank while working there as a teller.
Prosecutors say Stanley was living in Shenandoah, while working at Great Western Bank of Riverton.
The judge sentenced Stanley to four months in prison and four months of home confinement. Stanley was also ordered to pay more than $25,000 in restitution to the bank.
Stanley pleaded guilty to the charge.
Prosecutors say that on November 17, 2012, Stanley told Fremont County, Iowa deputies that she was forced to give money to a male robber. The subsequent investigation showed that Stanley reported the robbery to cover up her theft of bank money.
