(KAIR)--The Atchison Police Department issued a Silver Alert Friday for an Atchison resident who has been missing since December 31st.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says officials were developing information Thursday night into Friday morning concerning the whereabouts of 70-year old Gary Sandy, but were unable to locate him.
Sandy is described as five foot eight inches tall, two hundred pounds, with balding brown hair. He is known to always wear a Kansas City Chiefs ball cap and jacket. He has a heart condition and is a diabetic. He is also know to frequent casinos.
Sandy's pickup truck, a gold colored 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab with Kansas tags 764-CVR is also missing. There should be damage to the left front fender and the left headlight is missing.
