(KMZA)--The Seneca City Council has approved several amendments to the city’s zoning regulations.
City Administrator Matt Roehder says one of the amendments approved by the council Thursday evening will eliminate the 12-foot minimum clearance between accessory structures on adjacent lots, although a five-foot clearance from property lines will remain in effect.
Another will change the front yard setback requirement for residential properties in the “ old town” area from 25 feet to 15 feet, if the building will be in line with existing structures. And the other amendment approved will reduce the setback requirement on side street corner lots from 25 to 15 feet.
Roehder says the council also upheld a recommendation by the city Planning Commission to deny a zoning change for a lot in the Sunset Ridge Addition from a residential to commericial district.
And the council voted to hire Jacee Corby as the new assistant city clerk. Corby will begin work on January 22nd.
