(KNZA)--A Topeka man, accused of the aggravated kidnapping, rape. torture and mutilation of a Jackson County woman is in custody.
On Friday afternoon, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department launched a search for 35-year-old Filip Chase Joseph Rosario, with Sheriff Tim Morse identifying him as likely armed and dangerous.
Around 2:00 Saturday morning, Morse says Rosario was in custody, located in a Topeka parking lot.
The victim, from Holton, was acquainted with Rosario prior to the alleged attack. She required hospital treatment but has since been released.
Rosario is now held in the Jackson County Jail on charges of attempted capital murder, aggravated criminal sodomy, criminal threat, aggravated kidnapping, rape, aggravated battery and domestic battery. Bond for Rosario was set at $100,000.00.
