Report Says More Able to Sign Up Online For Healthcare
(AP) -- A new report indicates more people have been able to select a health insurance plan through the federally run online marketplace.
According to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services figures on Wednesday nearly 2,000 Nebraskans have signed up for a health care plan out of nearly 23,000 who applied through the new federal marketplace.
In Missouri 4,124 have selected a plan. There were more than 31,000 applications form Missouri residents through November 30th.
In Kansas fewer than 1,900 have chosen a plan through the marketplace, less than 10 percent of those eligible.
As of November 30th about 137,000 people had enrolled in the 36 states served by the federal website.
