Brownback Reacts To Death of Mandela

(MSC News/AP)--Kansas Governor Sam Brownback issued the following statement upon the death of Nelson Mandela Thursday. 

“Nelson Mandela was a great man who stood up for his principles and human rights,” said Governor Brownback. “He was an inspiration to many, including myself. My thoughts and prayers go to his family.”
Mandela, the former South African president who served 27 years in prison and helped to dismantle the country's racist and brutal apartheid system died Thursday at the age of 95.
