(KNZA)--Details are released regarding a Monday morning Jackson County crash that sent one to the hospital.
According to Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse, 21-year-old Jordan Callison, of Holton, was westbound on 214 Road, east of U.S. Highway 75. Stopping for a stop sign prior to entering the two northbound lanes of the highway, Callison continued heading west enroute to cross the northbound lanes to go south on the highway. It was at that time that a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 59-year-old Holton resident James Nelson was northbound on the highway and was unable to stop when Callison apparently pulled into his path.
That caused Nelson's Jeep to collide with Callison's Pontiac Grand Prix.
Nelson, whose vehicle left the roadway and rolled into the median, was extricated from the wreckage and transported to Topeka's Stormont Vail for treatment of his injuries.
Callison was not hurt.
The wreck happened around 7:30 Monday morning south of Holton.
